I don't understand the discrepancy in versions in Mediawiki. The latest version from Mediawiki.org is 1.15. But I routinely see references to Mediawiki 1.8 or 1.9. Why the discrepancy?

wow, so 1.9 comes before 1.15. Oh, wait, maybe I misinterpreted. Is 1.9 really like 1.09, so that 9 comes before 15? Not 1.90?
