Problem with math

Hey all!

I have a problem with the math software (or how the wiki handles that software) on my wiki project. On the Gravity article, the following error appears when I try to parse a formula: Failed to parse (unknown error): F = G \frac{m_1 m_2}{r^2}.

I cannot seem to get rid of the unknown error (unknown, that helps a lot )

Does anybody have any suggestions? Thanks!

Have you followed the instructions on [meta]Enable Tex[/meta]?

Install Latex, ghostscript imagemagick. Also search these forums for threads on this subject. There have been many. Then reply here if you still need help.

Yes, I have gone through the installation of Latex. I have searched the internet many times and still cannot find what the problem exactly is.

NOt sure if this will help you but its worth a try

Open up a command promt and enter in the following text, after each one is entered a blurb should be printed to the screen stating that the program is active or give you an error which you can act upon.

~$Latex (you will need to press x and <return> to get out of Latex)
~$dvips
~$convert
~$gs
